Anne Williams Sweeney, Photographer & TV Host

Anne’s love of photography and artistic passion is a family trait and she follows in the footsteps of her late father who developed the first color film in the city of New Bedford in the 1940’s.

Some of his photos of War World II Europe are on display in the Smithsonian today.

She’s especially proud of great-great aunt Elizabeth who worked as a professional photographer in 1901 Liverpool. A woman ahead of her times.

The youngest member of this family of photographers is nephew Paul Blackmore, whose work can be viewed at www.paulblackmorephotography.com.

Anne also works in front of the camera, hosting Pledge specials for PBS. She’s been affiliated with Boston TV station WGBH since 1993. This experience has taught her how to be most effective in communicating her ideas and helping her clients to relax during their photo sessions.

And wedding guests always get a kick out of telling Anne that they recognize her from Channel 2.

Living in two worlds like this has created lots of fun opportunities to both host with, and photograph, celebrities like Donny Osmond, Lionel Richie, David Foster, Jim Brickman, Gloria Estefan,  Chris Botti, David Garrett, Celtic Thunder and countless other musicians and artists.

Anne Sweeney strongly supports Marriage

Equality and loving, monogamous marriages. Married persons live longer, healthier, happier lives and make for a better society. Anne believes that all adults should be happily married if they so desire.
